Mladen Dolar & Robert Pfaller

What kind of collectivity can we imagine if we are to intercept the grapes of wrath and allow them to bear fruit in a different kind of society?

The inspiration for the talk between the two renowned philosophers will be the theme of this year's Indigo Festival – The Grapes of Wrath.

Mladen Dolar is one of the founders of the "Ljubljana Lacanian School" and a professor of philosophy in the University of Ljubljana. His recent books include "Being and its Double" (DTP 2017) and "Staging Concepts: Writings on Art" (Maska 2019). His new book "The Riskiest Moment" is forthcoming with Duke University Press.

Robert Pfaller is a professor of Philosophy and Cultural Theory at the University of Art and Industrial Design in Linz, Austria and a founding member of the Viennese psychoanalytic research group “stuzzicadenti”. In 2007 he was awarded “The Missing Link” prize for connecting psychoanalysis with other scientific disciplines by Psychoanalytisches Seminar Zurich, Switzerland. In 2015 he received "Best Book Published in 2014" award by the American Board of Professional Psychology (ABAPsa) for his book "The Pleasure Principle in Culture: Illusions without Owners" (Verso 2014).

The talk will be in English.
